Nearby on Shelf is now
This afternoon I updated the catalog’s “Nearby on Shelf” button to be a text link that better describes the results you get when collecting it: “Browse Similar.”
The function is designed to let you browse items that are shelved nearby by running an LC Call Number search. However, the most common use of this is to see similar items in our ASRS. In addition, the old button was often resized to be so small that the text was unreadable, and it was confusing patrons in our usability tests.
