While we were part of the alpha and private beta of Summon’s redesigned discovery tool, Summon 2.0, the final push for 2.0 happened at the same time many of us were moving into our new or renovated spaces. Not a great time for putting a new search tool through the paces!
But over the next few months, we’ll need to spend some time testing and working on Summon 2.0. You can see our demo site here:

I’m hoping to hold some mettings with faculty and staff this semester to talk about the changes, and will run some usability tests on it to identify any issues we need to work out. And speaking of issues, Monish Singh of Marist College created a Google Doc with all of the known issues reported to the Summon Clients listserv. If you’re trying out the new service, check the list to see if it has already been reported. If not, feel free to let me know and I’ll submit a ticket to Serials Solutions.
