Well, it was a long day but the major parts of the catalog have been moved over and tweaked (even the nasty Advanced Search page). Illiad and Ares have moved over to the new template. And I even found a bit of time to redo the Library Labs page to highlight some of the cool tools we have available.
I want to highlight a few new things in the catalog that are really exciting. Under the “Find Books By Category” heading on the catalog home page, you can browse all of our popular reading items, or just the ones at Steelcase or Mary I. That’s been a feature a long time in the making, and thanks to Patrick for figuring out the search query voodoo to make them work.
I’m sure for the next few weeks we’ll find a button here or there in the catalog that was buried in some setting that I missed. If you spot one, please use the “report a problem with this page” link at the bottom of the page to let me know. You’ll find this link on every single page in every single system, so you won’t have to remember where the Status page is (even though it’s right under the Services menu, for reference).
Thanks again for all your patience these last few days, and for the past four last-week-before-classes as I do all the shuffling to get the projects I’ve been working on for the previous year out into the light.
